We are delighted that we have had some of our teams go on trips between Patricks Weekend and during the Easter Break. It is a great experience for the children in our club to play in tournaments at this time of the year. Tournaments provide our players with more football matches which is fantastic especially due to the weather in our country which postpones matches quite frequently. All of the teams have a great opportunity to bond as a team and to make friends with other players from other teams. They also get to match up against teams from far and wide who they would never have the opportunity to play against at home in Ireland especially at foreign tournaments.

On Patrick's weekend our 12 Saturday and Sunday Premier teams travelled to Portugal to play in the Portimao Cup where they finished 13th & 21st out of 32 teams. They played against some top academy sides around the world which featured such teams as Inter Milan, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Blackburn and Aston Villa. A great experience for the lads.

One of our u13 teams travelled to Barcelona where they took part in the Copa Jordi where they finished 2nd in their group after playing against Italian side U.S Settignanese, Scottish side Fair City Whites and Spanish side CF Tordera.

Our u10s team travelled to the well known Blackpool Cup over the easter weekend where they reached the Quater Finals pf the tournament where they got to play against a mixture of Irish, English and Scottish teams.

Our u12s team travelled to the Netherlands to play in the Hanze Trophy. They played against Belgian and Danish opposition where the lads topped their group and reach the Quater finals of the tournament. This team also travelled to Limerick to participate in the Dynamic tournament where they won the cup!

Our u12 & u14s teams travelled to Cavellino in Italy to participate in the Cavellino Trophy. Our u14's finished 5th in the u15 division where as our u12s were runners up in the u13 division.

Our u14 premier team travelled to Salou in Spain to take part in the Copa Daurada Cup. The lads topped their group in the u14/u15 division where they reached the quarter finals of the tournament to be ko’ d be eventual runners up and current u15 Bundesliga National Club S.C Rot-wieß Oberhausen. The lads went on to play for the 5-th - 8th round play offs where they ended up taking 6th place our of 20.

We would like to congratulate everyone on their success in going away. Organising these trips takes months of preparation and we really appreciate all of the leaders and parents who got involved in making the trips happen. A massive congratulations to everyone, you have helped create some special memories for all of the children in our club. We cannot thank you enough!
