The Club congratulates the Dignam family and their friends for the great work achieved in completing their very special project, in building 3 houses along with outside toilets for a number of families in Cambodia. A fantastic legacy to their parents Rose and Eamon. The “Rose House” was built in October 2023. Rose was a great supporter of Volunteer Building Cambodia (VBC) and fundraised for many houses and toilets over the years. Sadly Rose passed away in January last year and her husband Eamon, who was very much part of the fabric of St Josephs AFC for so many years, passed away in March 2023. Spurred on by the fundraising success for the “Rose House” her family, friends, family member work colleagues and the wider community excelled and raised enough funds for these 2 additional house builds, 2 toilet builds, 2 solar systems and 1 well (one family already has one)! Almost the entire family of Rose and Eamon travelled to Cambodia to build these two houses.

One house is named The “Eamon House” in his honour and the other is called “Birchgrove” which is where Rose and Eamon lived their entire married life of 67 years. #fttg ⚫⚪⚫⚪
