With the recently announced departure of Niall O’Driscoll from Bray Wanderers, St. Joseph’s AFC would like to convey our best wishes to Niall and also to the new owner and Management team of Bray Wanderers.

Niall gave great service to St. Joseph’s over the last forty years, initially as a Manager/Coach with his great friend Peter Church, who sadly has since passed away, and later in a Club administration capacity.

Over the years Niall took on more responsibility in the Club, firstly as a member of the Executive Committee and later sitting on the Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer. His greatest achievement and legacy in the Club is the drive and single mindedness he showed in pushing for and overseeing the building of what is still the gold standard of Clubhouses in Schoolboy Football in Ireland.

Niall wouldn’t have been able to make this commitment to St. Joseph’s without the support of his Family. The Club would like to extend a special thanks to Sandra, Katie, Timmy and Emmy for their understanding and patience whilst Niall devoted so much time to Club activities and indeed to football in general.

We wish Niall every success in the future and hope he gets to spend a lot of quality time with his family.

Oliver Crilly
